Canon has this fun little fish-eye lens (alt: site) that came to Norway this week. There is something special about being able to shoot a picture with a 180 degrees view of the surrounding area.

Expect some strange pictures here the next few months.

I often bring along my little Canon G9 when I am out and about. Today there was -12 degrees Celsius and a few snowflakes were falling slowly down from the skies. Except that the building where my company has their office is built in such a way that there is a small draft coming from below. Thus the snowflakes were equally falling down and blowing up again. Some of these flakes even got stuck to the windows.

Sometimes I wonder what cats are all about. The answer seems to be about enjoying themselves. This picture is one of the first I tried out with my 50 mm 1.4 USM Canon Lens.

I am not sure if you have a Canon 40D, but if you have, and you live in Norway, this Canon EOS 40D Firmware Update might be of interest to you. According to imaging-resource.com the following issues have been fixed.

1. Fixes a phenomenon in which Image Stabilization operation emits a sound when certain buttons are pressed, with the EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens attached to the camera.

2. Fixes a phenomenon in which the Image Stabilization operation emits a sound from the lens when IS lenses are attached to the camera.

3. Fixes a phenomenon in which a part of the image looks unnatural when reviewed on the LCD.

4. Corrects errors in the Spanish and Norwegian menu screens.
