Two and a half on a bench

two2

Last weekend I enjoyed a nice late autumn in the sun running amok with my camera. Among else I took a walk inside Akershus castle in Oslo

Two women where feeding a banana to a child on a bench inside the castle. The sun was pretty low when I took the picture. As you maybe can see from the picture the sun is somewhere to the right of the two women and the child.

I admit that I’ve removed a few twigs that entered the picture in the upper right corner. I hope that it isn’t possible to see my little editing.

Edinburgh Castle, after a slight retouch ;-)

It’s seldom that you get the perfect image when you lift your camera to your eyes. This is very much a not-perfect picture.
1. There is actually a road in the lower left corner of this picture, but thanks to some cloning that is no longer an issue.
2. The skies were exceptionally grey. Well they were!
3. And finally the picture is a bit blurred. So what do you do?

The answer is: Photoshop!

“Sinnataggen” – Angry Boy

Sinnataggen - Angry Boy
I managed to take this nice picture of a famous statue in Norway. (Well, it’s famous in Norway.) This little guy can be found in the “Vigelands park” in Oslo. He is called “Sinnataggen” in Norwegian, that would be something like “Angry boy” in English.

Update 2010-05-11: This picture was actually taken in RAW format on my Canon 40D. After some minor tweaking in to lighten the shadows, I got what you see here. Actually I am quite satisfied with this image.
