I grew up in the countryside in Norway. A fjord 100 meters from the house, a forest 30 meters behind the house and the mountains a few kilometres away. Wildlife to me was deer, fox, eagles and sea gulls. Now later in my life I moved into cities, and suddenly wildlife turned into pigeons, pigeons, a few sparrows, pigeons, a number of sea gulls and more pigeons. I guess that pigeons must be one of the modern success stories in nature.

Arc de Triomphe, Paris
Here is another picture from late evening in Paris. The sun is setting behind the arc, and the few skies visible have turned red. You can see the crowds up on the arc looking out over Paris. There were a lot of people walking along along the Champs-Élysées, and many of them had been closing in on the arc just around sunset.
Notre Dame by night
This blog has seen a few days without updates. The reason for this is that my girlfriend and I have been out travelling. We just spent a weekend in Paris together, and I went amok with my camera. At least it sounds like that if you listen to my girlfriend. "Are you going to take a picture of that one too….?" Actually she is quite patient with me. So this is from Paris, and our last evening. We were walking towards our intended restaurant when this scene appeared as we were crossing the bridge.
Ah, you might want to know some details about this picture: Exposure time: 30 seconds, Aperture Value: 18, ISO: 400
PS: Notice the one way signs under the bridge.
